Today, many animals are endangered, and many animals are treatened with extinction.
Species assessed as Critically Endangered (CR),Endangered (EN), or Vulnerable (VU) are referred to as "TREATENED"

EX – Extinct
EW - Extinct in the Wild
CR - Critically Endangered (includes CR(PE) andCR(PEW))
EN – Endangered
VU – Vulnerable
LR/cd - Lower Risk/conservation dependent
NT - Near Threatened (includes LR/nt -Lower Risk/near threatened)
DD - Data Deficient
LC - Least Concern (includes LR/lc - LowerRisk/least concern).
